    I went and saw this during the week with someone who'd never seen anything to do with Star Trek before. In fact she even said she hated Sci-Fi. But we both thoroughly enjoyed the flick, I know not to expect Oscar-winning performances from something like this, it was just a really enjoyable romp.
    Chekhov's replacement - cool
    Simon Pegg as Scotty - cool
    McCoy - not so great, didn't get into it
    Uhura - hot, plays more of a rolel in the movie than she ever did in the old ones
    Spock - it's hard to forget the dude was Sylar from Heroes, but he does the 'logic' thing alright...
    Kirk - I don't think they could've picked anyone better, he has all the youthful hallmarks of the original Kirk in the TV series. Swashbuckling hero that thinks with his dick.
    Nero - Eric Bana disappoints again. Hasn't done a good role since 'Chopper' or Black Hawk Down.
