Depends. Mostly safe. I mean, certainly safer than most of the sketchier places I'd consider in nyc by a looong mile. Depends what you're looking for. And you'll need a car in Westchester for sure. Rye is of course, super safe, being the uber-white middle class haven next to the working class, old school italian and mexican immigrant Port Chester.
