ok, truthfully: macs are no harder to use than windows. personally I use both and find macs a bit simpler to use. but on balance, they're about the same.
get a dell cos its faster or cheaper, but getting one for her cos its easier is silly. just wait until she unwittingly installs spyware on her system and starts calling you about all these popups.
