Never was into Star Trek. But I'm a sucker for empty dazzle and sci-fi craziness. I enjoyed it a lot. slick as fuck. The special effects and sound design were pretty mind blowing at points.
If you're going for any other reason. . . wait, why are you going for any other reason? But story, etc was good enough, though as contrived and sort of dumb as one might expect. I liked the cast, and the Kirk guy is good.
