Roll out of bed around 7:30, play with my son until it's time to take him to school. We usually walk or take a scooter, it's only 6 blocks. I walk home with a friend or two who lives on the way. Maybe we'll hang out and work together somewhere that has wifi, or I'll come back home and work from my living room all day. My wife is also home, working to get two businesses off the ground. We have lunch together, go for walks when we feel the need to get outside a bit. Work some more. Pick up my son from school and hang out with the other parents for awhile. My son then with either go to a friend's house for awhile or bring a friend home, or just hang out with us. If I'm not too busy that day maybe we'll go to the zoo or something. Yesterday afternoon I coached his t-ball practice. Make some dinner together and eat as a family.

For me, being freelance has lots of stresses, unpredictability of work being the biggest. But it allows me to live life the way I'd like to, to spend my time, for the most part, the way I want to spend it.
