i think his character has "borrowed" from so many other characters and cliches it's hard to translate him to live action. he's the epitome of a comic book character, one that could never exist in real life. he's like a walking homage/punchline. with the exception of ryan reynold's sense of humor coming through i think the character would be more obscure and a much-harder sell than the watchmen in terms of a comic book themed movie. most people aren't going to understand it including the suits in hollywood.
- I have yet to see Wolverine, but in terms of smart-ass they really got the only person for the job in Ryan Reynolds, haha.********
- I don't think it's possible to translate the way the talks to the reader, and how psychotic he is across well though.********
- exactly. the broken forth wall humor is part of the character. doesn't translate7point34
- unless they really push it, but something tells me they will nix all of that7point34
