I've wanted a Suunto Core for a while. Unfortunately I read some bad reviews lately and some people attributed it to a new manufacturing plant they're using. So I'm kinda on the fence now. I did find this handy alternative that is one of Suuntos competitors in both the watch and field compass categories, Silva. Looks like a nice watch though, has gotten some good reviews from the limited ones I could find online. About half the price too.
- Buy a core. I bought one used, had problems, sent it back to Suunto and got a new one free. No more problems.non
- Nice to hear! I've read that their customer service dept is really good. Unfortunately I've heard a lot of battery horror stories too. :(tommyo
- Bah, its worth it when you get a proper functionning one. Don't let the battery issues influence you.non
