    it really depends on the shot you are tracking, for 3d tracking pftrack has done us well but we almost never need it. For 2d tracking we use ae for really basic, usually single point tracking (And eye ball the rest) or use mocha which works pretty damn well. what i find helpful especially for shittier footage is to stabilize the shot first so that there arent any huge jumps that will throw off the track. Also usually even if there are you can go back in and hand track sections and get a pretty desireable result.
