Jim,
that sounds like the product of exceptional, and hard endeavour, or should i 'spell' endeavor, as people across the pond would 'spell'. you see, i know stuff like that because i've travelled extensively in the u.s of a on business and pleasure. i ran a series of seminars (risk management) on the eastern seaboard in between 2002-2004 so that meant i had to be pretty gen'ed up on the spelling for my powerpoints and stuff. there would always
be some wise young filly in a grey pencil skirt in the front row picking me up on any little transatlantic lingo failings! they were often the ones that would 'sidle' up to me in the bar afterwards hoping for an extra gander at my 'powerpoint' in my motel room, if you know what i mean.
so you could say, i was quite successful, in both the boardroom and the bedroom...
at that point i was racking up around £65k plus extras from consulting and intake from writing from a range of US trade magazines. i should have said, i actually completed my studies in the states and became one of the first to attain a risk management accreditation on my return to ireland!
