yeah, you're pretty close. i was digging on Nirvana around that time. My band played an Alice in Chains, but that was as close to grunge as we got.
At that age i was really trying hard to be stoic and fearsome in an evil way rather than a bully type way. Wrote and drew a lot of things on the backs of papers and on book covers that would get a kid suspended these days. i really liked to pretend to be into the occult and devil worship and all that dark shit.
But inside i was (and am) a softee. i got voted Nicest Personality of my graduating class. Of course by that time i had found drugs and backed off of the metal scary persona a bit.
5 years from this video i would be in college, wearing a hippie hat with a "Keep on Truckin'" patch on it...and still be able to scare my roomate into moving out just cause i wrote one Rollins Band lyric on my paper nametag on our door.
To this day people have said they find me intimidating at first. The girl who's gonna marry Nate (the tall guy a person or two after me in the video) said she was scared of me when she met me. He was like "Are you kidding? You know Mikey, the goofy brother from American Choppers (n Discovery)? THAT'S Craig"- People say the same thing about me. From your pictures, you don't look intimidating.juhls
