Yeah, but Aronofsky pimped the jerky high contrast visuals in Pi from Tsukamoto's "Tetsuo:Iron Man" (which owes a lot to Eraserhead, and the German Expressionists, I guess).

Aronofsky's not bad, though. I heard he's directing the next Batman pic... is that still true?
