In real life the "Crime Scene" guys are like the peons of the law enforcement world. They don't go riding in Hummers and go rolling into suspects homes, whipping off expensive sunglasses, using zippy gotchas to catch the bad guys. They just put blood and semen stained clothing in plastic baggies and then put them in a box and scrawl "EVIDENCE" on them with Sharpies.
