    Sure, I agree with you that at face value he would like to make it clear that he feels it was the right thing to do. Ethical concerns aside, the legal ramifications are what brings into question his intentions.

    FYI, this isn't a partisan issue. John McCain is fundamentally opposed to torture and the previous administrations interpretation of torture. But I would not be surprised to hear a complaint from him that classified memos should not have been released...
