From what I have heard and read, although again, ignorant on this subject, is that the enhanced torture methods rarely (if ever) produced anything useful. However reading through the list of techniques, nothing really jumps out at me as 'torture.' Waterboarding seems like the worst but at the same time, from what I've read, it's just a very unpleasant experience. I would think that these guys already know the chances of them dying at the hands of the US are extremely remote. The US knows they can't allow any of the detainees to die or it would be a PR nightmare.

I really just wish they would do a better job of vetting these detainees to make sure each and every one of the people they're putting through this has a high chance of having information. Besides, wouldn't it stand to reason that any detainee kept there for longer than a few months would have expired information anyways?

I really hate that our country continues to trade their standards of 'morality' for some sense of security. With the same breath though, there are some people who are dangerous to us and those people need detainment. The warrant less wiretaps piss me off to no end though.
