I see what you're saying. However, these companies are STILL having their company meetings. I'm not really talking about the conventions like CES. The mas exodus of companies who HAD company retreats/meetings planned, but then canceled after Obamas speech is somewhat staggering. I think my sister said that some 75% of their already scheduled meetings canceled. Regardless, the companies are still having their meetings, just not in the town that the president labeled as 'excessive.' When in fact there are monetary benefits to having your company meet in Vegas. It's just propagating a stereotype about Vegas, a city that only exists for tourism. If tourism stopped, it would crumble no doubt.
