Iam the kinf of guy who rip his CD in 320khz with no compression at all. I like good sounds. But sometimes the source is pure crap; best exemple is the last Metallica album. Many album are compressed for cheap devices and cheap headphones, so it sound like total shit on a good system. Last album of Matt & Kim, last album of Be Your Own Pet and last Metallica are some exemple.
How weird, people have never listen as much music as we do these days, we have the technology and people have never listen to so much crappy sound level. We are far away from the big wooden stereo of our parents.
After "video killed the radio stars" we can say "iPod killed the sound quality"
totally.
