1. Chain your bike to random railings. 2 locks though. The cloggies will show you the best techniques for that.
2. Don't fall into the canal when your riding your bike home drunk.
3. There are tonnes of good design shops. Frozen Fountain, Droog, etc.
4. The further out from the centrum the cheaper it is to live.
5. You have to go for sandwiches from Small World. My friend Sean owns the place and he's the coolest guy ever. Actually, he might have a room to rent... his store is on the Oranjebinnenstraat just off the Harlemmerplien.
6. The Foreign Police. The lineups and bureaucracy are nightmarish.
