I'm not necessarily disagreeing with the approach but more so with the execution.. wordpress allows all sorts of customisation that can produce something more interesting, interactive and/or even just something that looks like it's been 'designed' and considered..
interesting link leigh, makes a lot of sense on many levels but will this approach ultimately shoot ourselves in our collective designed feet? I mean clients [in general] already have little appreciation for our role[s] in their successes, to me this makes what we do seem even more viable for them to do in house...
there are many ways to produce something that allows easy updates, can communicate effectively and be user friendly, but I think that's not the end all be all for an agency site, granted in this economy it's probably wise to play it safe, tick as many boxes as possible and if you ruffle feathers, it may as well be only those in the industry...
