I liked BS's old site because it had personality. The Web 3.0 stuff is cool from a tech stand point but it's boring. Yeah, I know. "Let the work speak for itself". That's like a really hot chick who wears a snowsuit in the summer. Right now it's Big Snowsuit. I want to see what's under BS's snowsuit. At least incorporate some sexy time into the blog layout. Like give me a cool lil' logo animation like your first site. Something to make me rub one out. Anyways, that's just my personal opinion on their current site. They still kick ass.

    On another note...

Maybe this is the new Web 3.0.
    - Blog-like sites.
    - Flickr for yo' folio.
    - JQuery over Flash animation
    - Twitter-based New section.
    - Serif fonts at 36 pt.

Everyone's doing it. It's easier to update. SEO loves it. Your copywriter will love it. Creative Directors can be creative again.

Maybe this means Adobe should get their shit together and start making Flash better for the Web and mobile devices. Like really better. Like a back button that really fucking works, no matter how fast you click the button. Make the shit easier to maintain too. CMS and Flash shouldn't make your shit darker.

All this talk about Flash versus HTML/CSS etc. No matter what medium you use, it's about how you get the message across. Use whatever tools necessary. If download speed wasn't an issue, and video was as quick and easy to create and update as CSS, we'd all have 100% video-based sites. Maybe I'm just making shit up.

Anyways, that's another discussion. I've just polluted this thread with utter nonsense.

We really need to get rid of browsers.

    • < you just called them BS. lol.akrokdesign
    • I think personality is the big thing here, odopod's site has personality, f-i's does too even if it is clinicalimnotaplumber
    • the colors they picked also. so traditional big agency. red, black and gray. "classic".akrokdesign
