A) You're probably right in theory
B) Any actual fighting will most likely be done by african forces being backed by both sides. So the dying and misery will mostly be borne by the africans. And don't think they're all that innocent either.
C) China still has subpar force projection compared to the US, so I wouldn't put my money on China in this case so quickly. China is equally in financial dire straits plus they have a revolution brewing at home.
D) And somehow you seem to think that a nation run by a dictatorial oligarchical system embracing the worst parts of crony capitalism is better than one that at least is somewhat a post-industrial functional democracy, You european leftists really make me wonder sometime with all your US hate...sure some might be justified, but you just go just as far off the deep end as some US rightwing nutjobs...
