    Honestly, the real question is why not.

    First of all, Buddhism is not a religion. It has no gods or governing institutions (that which defines a creed to be a "religion"). It's mostly a way of dealing with yourself and your spirituality in a certain mindset. It's a pagan creed, which involves a certain attitude towards life and things in general - and which is turning too popular. That's why I cracked the 'business niche' joke.

    I think most people are adhering to it, like they adhere to the latest pop tune. Because it looks cool and alternative.

    But this in fact lessens Buddhism.

    The only truth here is that most people don't know where to turn.
