  I haven't tried the pay version, but i read some reviews which suggested it didn't have any real upgrades or improvements (or at least - not enough to warrant the program becoming $80 as opposed to $0). However, if you use the new network features of the program, by all means...
  the free one is working just fine for me - or at least until Type DNA comes out this year.
