Hey Vector, if you want to improve your running both in speed and resistance, running a race is the best thing. Mostly because you would set a goal for yourself and training for it. It would also make running less boring! ;-)
Let me know if you decide to do it, I have a lot of resources, and a lot of training programs. And if anybody else is interested, just ask.
