    Yeah, it's definitely true. People really don't get to experience "real" Mexican food that often. Once you leave the west, it all becomes Tex-mex chain crap or fusion stuff.

    I was in DC about 2 months ago and this exact debate came about. My sisters friend said we had to go to the best Mexican food she ever had. Probably the best in D.C.

    Well we go, and it was complete crap. I can get better food from a shack that is open until 3am down in P.B. My entire family laughed it off ( also west coast citizens ).

    I also lived in Atlanta for about 9 years and never had anything resembling mexican food. Some tried, but it just isn't it. But now I am back home.......

    I think I might go grab a carne asada tonight........

    • in NYC we have other foods that are latin and to m e lots better than mexican..e-pill
    • i love cuban food, domincan food, puerto rican foods a lot more.e-pill
    • Latin food is great, we should visit Calles. And bring some green.
