just got a new 24" imac. love it.
the only point to getting a mbp is portability, as such it renders getting a 17" pointless, you're looking at best at 15" screen. if you're just going to use it for work at a desk, imac. if your only thinkign behind laptop is sitting on sofa - get an imac. if you really need to take a laptop with you, then you shouldnt be asking this question :D
