I would really like to see their magical Google Analytics Plus with heatmaps, userflow and other minutia overlayed over the design while they're testing out 41 shades of blue.
It's actually not a big deal to test out all these shades, I'm sure they don't ask a designer to make comps for every shade, it's just a script that runs and edits the CSS or some JPG generator. I would do it myself if I was faster with programming.
That's actually what design should be about, testing, editing, adjusting, eye tracking and collecting data. This is design with a particular purpose, it should enable people to complete tasks. Most designers are used to design that mesmerizes people and makes them stupid enough for a short time to buy something.
Unfortunately software for designers is designed for the purpose of designing for advertising, so it's mind numbing to use it for application design and interfaces.
