Spam from penis enlargers, Nigerian lotteries, and Viagra are one thing. Getting an email from someone in your own field is another. Are you really getting 'that' many unsolicited emails from designers and photographers that it's causing that many problems, and to the point where you call it spam? Let's be serious. I send out emails to my contacts when I update my site once a year or every 10 years for that matter. I'm sure a lot of other people who work for themselves here do too. Now if I were getting an email from this guy every few hours for an entire year -- yeah, I'd be pissed and call him a spammer too. How many of these emails did this guy actually send? If you don't want emails from the guy and if he's sending you 'that' many emails, can't you just block his email address? I get emails from agencies and studios all the time whenever they update their site or want to promote something or even when they just want to say hi. I didn't ask for them. Okay, here's a scenario. Let's say he sent you a Christmas card. Said "Merry Xmas from Photo Dude. Best Wishes. www.photo-dudes-site.com". Are you going to send the card back and say "Fuck You! I didn't ask for this card. I'm fucking Jewish". No, you'll probably say "Oh, that was nice. Little baby Jesus is so cute". This is the same thing, except it's through email. Maybe not. Hmm.
