there is this artist in detroit, who makes sculptures and art with garbage from the streets. he bought one of the lots (with the abandoned building, garbage and all) and made this huge series of sculptures and paintings with the trash.
when the city told him that they were knocking down the house that was on his lot because it was in violation of city codes, he said, "if you knock down my house, I will paint polka dots all over this city".
so he did- he painted huge colorful circles all over detroit.
do something like that.
