flav, we're coming up with variables to use in the database for the intranet. These variables will be as close as possible to the data that will need to be put into the CMS system (which won't even be up for another 2 years or so). But most of the the developers are very busy right now, so we're not sure if they have time to train myself and another co-worker on using SQL and other systems. Basically, this data will have to be integrated into the CMS system later, and we're trying to make it so that the information can easily be transferred to that system once it has been implemented.
If everything goes horribly wrong with the organization and time requirements, we'll have to use Excel + Frontpage. *shoots self*
