Have a wander round the Laines and Noth Laines. Snoopers paradise is worth a nose. Loads of good pubs, The Eagle, Mash Tun etc. Loads of good places for food, Hells Kitchen if you want a snack, Okinami, Sabai Thai, Foodelic and Jamie's Italian is now open and is pretty good by all accounts.
Definitely goto the Pavilion if you've never been, it's pretty good, also the museum opposite in the pavilion gardens is free to look around.
Take a walk along the beach under the arches and stop off at Fortune of War or Gemini bar - usually something is going on down there, music, entertainment etc.
