One of my fondest memories... next my mom and dad's house was a council ran park with an 18 hole municipal golf course set along the side of a really big steep hill. It was meticulously kept by parkie, with beautiful banks and hills on each green... which for us made it the most exciting and dangerous BMX terrain known to man.
We'd start at the top and get so much air off the steep mounds of the greens because it was a steep hill, so if you went 6ft in the air at a fast pace, the ground would drop away on the other side and you'd be 18-20 feet in the air. Fucking terrifying but totally irresistible.
I saw many smashed wrists, fucked up faces, knees ripped open by feet that had come off peddles and got stuck in front of them on landing, but the only thing that ever stopped us was someone shouting PARKIE! LEG IT! and he'd come after us in his little parkievan.
