It is pathetic and a disgrace to American. The architecture began as a public process (competition), but as typical power and politics took hold, Libeskind was booted, SOM took over and D. Childs made his worst building ever (I'd give him an 'average' talent, and 'exceptional' for politics).
It is sad, boring and a perfect monument to American politics and power.
Who cares what it is called when it is so ridiculous. They should have killed the 1776 height, too, just to make it completed devoid of anything symbolic.
