grymes to answer your question in the note above. don't be fooled by the price of prefabs. They can easily run the same costs as a regular home especially when one considers all the upgrades most of these have. The true advantage of a prefab is that it can be built fast and some can be built by yourself or with only a contractor. No architect or other general contract work i.e. framers, painters is needed. In terms of gov. discounts they vary from project to project depending on LEED factors and other circumstances. Just do some research before you buy. Getting a home is no joke and a big desicion.
