Why did you have a fake boyfriend just out of interest? I don;t remember having a fake girlfriend. I do remember that even from the age of four at school everyone had a boyfriend or a girlfriend. No touchy, obviously..we were four ffs... but my girlfriend was called Anna Parrack and she sat opposite me and we played Bionic Man and Woman all day every day. There was a brick wall between us on the desk so every time we wanted to speak to each other we had to punch the brick wall down first. We wpent alld ay punching that bric wall down and I was so happy.
Then one day she said her family was moving to Somerset. I have never heard of Somerset and in my mind she had gone to live where the sun sets. I was sad becuase she was my girlfriend, and I was four, and nobody else wanted to punch the brick wall down to talk to me.
I still think about Anna Parrack occasionally and wonder how life is where the sun sets.
