    Most people don't get it. I don't always get it, sometimes I think I am imagining it. It is just that the images look better. In some way it has to do with using a larger crop of the lens.
    As somebody once said, the optical quality difference between APS (cropped frame) and full frame is similar to the difference between full frame (small format, 35mm) and medium format. It's the oomph the images get. It's the inyourfaceness.

    Full frame, for instance, offers one step smaller DOF over cropped frame. In other words, f/1.8 on full frame is like f/1.4 on cropped frame. But it is not only that. I am not sure what it is, probably the sharpness falloff in small DOF pictures.
    I still can't grasp it.. but when I got the 5D and saw the images, I didn't look back.

    I am planning to buy a small second body for travel and long tele shots though, the new Rebel looks very promising.

    • Yep. The 5D's images a real 3D feel to them. I love the 5DNightshade
    • The 5D is very nice.... I'd rather have a 5D mark I than any Rebel....vaxorcist
