Block Island, RI is about as romantic as it gets. Fly in to Providence, drive to Narragansett (apx. 25/30 miles), take the Point Judith Ferry to Block Island. I kid you not, that is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in the States. Plenty of good restaurants, bed/breakfast places. Lighthouses, rolling hills, gorgeous clear blue water.
