You can go to file>publish settings, check both Flash and HTML formats, then you can go into the HTML tab of the Publish Settings window and set the size of the file. It's the drop down under Dimensions, choose pixels and then you can manually enter the width and height you want. Then publish the file and you'll end up with a swf at the dimensions you entered. You can then convert that swf into a movieclip. Hope that helps!
