contracts seem to matter only if the client actually reads them.... I've experienced clients who seem to be unfortunately aware that it costs me more $$ to hire a lawyer than it's worth....
...best way to deal with this is to make sure you're talking to the person who actually pays the bills, not just somebody who wants you to do things but has to get somebody else to pay for it...
