It is a sad business but this particular case leaves a bad taste in the mouth. The hypocrisy of the press of the press and the public is horrible.
This is a woman who has been mocked and despised in equal measures over the past few years for been simple, bigoted, talentless and a fame whore.
Just because she has had a well run, Max Clifford publicity campaign doesn't mean we should now mourning her loss - Gordon Brown has commented on her death FFS.
Stephen Fry compared her to Princess D today and I can see one parallel - in the weeks before she died Diana was being called a publicity seeking slag after pics of her in an operating theater and cavorting on a boat with Dodi were published. She died and it was the biggest loss to the country since Churchill.
