Lets start over, but with the respect we all deserve.

I think your question was answered by acescence here: http://www.qbn.com/topics/586239…

The times where we can animate triangles rotating from left to right have faded away. We are now in front of a much more complex platform that is capable of 1000s of complex tasks that goes beyond the average designer.

Flash can do most of the things you think it can not, but in reality in the hands of an experienced flash programmer, they are all doable. I personally saw (probably like you) a decline on the flash sites I complete for clients but because flash grew out of my skill level. Clients want dynamic applications that connect all outputs of their brand with their customers, and my programming knowledge of flash stops at "on click go to label "start"

Flash is still being used for a lot more than what you think, its not as easy to set up for a 1 guy shop as it was 8 years ago when the client was happy with a glow flying over their logo.

the movie industry uses it almost standard because of its immersive capabilities. Product demos of all sorts from vacuum cleaners to motorcycles, that allow you to interact and explore the product from you home, there are so many things that flash does that other platforms can't do, the list is bigger than the things that can.

And flash not being supported by iPhone is not a flash mistake, is an Apple's fear of loosing customers on the app department.

And there is way more people browsing the internet on computers than on iphones, waaaaaaay more..

    would that answer your question?
