    what is the big deal?
    the deadline passed already, if they have not met it and made no effort in contact anyone to extend it, that means they are not interested in being a part of this, I'm not trying to be mean or anything but, I know there is people out there that will be happy to fill out their spots, I say give it to them.

    The first next 16 entires (or whatever number it is of participants that are now missing) get into the book, no deadline needed.
