Just thinking about something related to whether or not someone in the public eye should read anything about themselves.
I watch a South Asian singing show. There's a young girl in a singing competition who had been very depressed for a couple of months before the past few weeks. Lately, she's been gaining a lot of confidence and has been performing extremely well because of a new, amazingly talented and intelligent vocal coach the show uses.
The coach for the competition noted that she (the young contestant) was depressed before, and mainly because she went online and read comments on blogs about her. I, for one, somehow knew this was the precise reason why she looked like she was going to hurt herself and everyone around her during her performances. I had been visiting forums dedicated to the competition.
It's amazing how people will just tear apart someone they don't know.
Now...QBN may be users like that too, but there are a fair amount of people who will stick up for the other side as well. And a lot of the time, you can tell when a person is joking, and when they are being malicious.
