Suddenly overcome by the feeling that her best days were behind her, she found herself in a state of panic. She was convinced she hadn't done anything meaningful with her life and that no one would remember her after she was gone. She decided that she needed to write a journal so that some day it could prove that she had existed. And sometimes the things she did were meaningful.
