    Uhm, yes, second the shoes. As unfancy as possible.

    Also, a heartrate monitor.
    Why? If you're jogging too hard your body will eat the more delishous and readily available muscles, not fat, as energy to propel you forward.

    Or something to that effect.

    Keep it at a heartrate fit for you (those things should come with instructions on how to find your optimal rate) and you'll get better results out of your running.
