I think the OP has missed something. Funny stories about the boss start out with "So, me and the boss's wife were going at it hammer and tongs right there on the boss's desk, and the whole office was watching through the glass wall. We're both just about to come up with the whole thing, when he barges in without knocking. I threw up on his shoes, and kept my mind on my business..."
Finish this off in such way as it will make us all laugh, and you'd have what people would call a "funny story."
