Are you sure? I know how it is in Poland. All major private TV stations' founders had been registered communist secret police informers in the 80's. Most from the top rich list in the country had links to both Polish secret services and KGB. There was never an actual revolution in the late 80's, those who were in power during communist regime privatised bulk of the state assets and turned noble businessmen.
But he's not talking about this. He talks about the West and I can see he was right on point.
