@ephix: I think you have the right idea about it. I must have just hit a nerve with Khurram. And Kelpie, I get what you're saying about the design. The "wife beating" comment seems a little reactionary though. The subject might be too touchy, regardless of whether the design is fair or poor. I should have suspected as much from the reactions on the thread that planted the seeds for this project :

Wasn't trying to push the topic in people's faces, it was just on my mind after watching a few water searches on the East River. Making things is my way of mentally digesting what's around me.
