I went to Cambodia last July, and it was incredible! When the Khmer Rouge stormed Phnom Penh, they began killing all the educated people, doctors, teachers, professors, business men, engineers, so that they couldn't progress any longer; they brought the country back years from where they were!! After Pol Pot was defeated the country had to literally start over!!
They say up to 2 millions were killed. 1/5 of the population!
