  you're almost there. Where you wrote:

  whichClip = "lbClip" + lbClipNos[n];

  should be:

  whichClip = this["lbClip" + lbClipNos[n]]

  or

  whichClip = "lbClip" + lbClipNos[n];
  whichClip = this[whichClip]
