Yes, she is a student. Yes she could (and should) get better. She did put herself out there are a practicing, professional designer. She advertised herself. She is doing a disservice to her industry by encouraging this quality of work and these rates. When I was in school, my peers put me in my place when I showed my work and I'm a better designer, and person, for it. I'm not sure what kind of program they're running at Georgia State University but I hope this isn't an example of what they offer.
I should mention that her "About the Owner" section shows a lot of passion but none of it is for design. She seems like her dreams focus on acting, singing, dancing, performing and modeling. I'm not sure what she's doing pursuing a career in design when she obviously has more of an interest in other things. I can only assume she's yet another person that plagues our industry because they heard design paid well or it looked cool on one of those ads on television for the degree mills. I place them in the same category as the artist without the courage to pursue art so they become a designer. There simply isn't room in the industry for those that do not have a love for design.
